RICE SEED TREATMENTS BY SOAKING IN WATER AND THREE PESTICIDES (CARBOSULFAN, BENOMYL, AND IMIDACLOPRID) TO CONTROL FOLIAR NEMATODE Aphelenchoides besseyi

چکیده
Aphelenchoides besseyi is one of the most important parasitic nematodes in rice plants, capable dormancy seeds. This study aims to determine effects soaking seeds water and pesticides (carbosulfan, benomyl, imidacloprid) on mortality A. besseyi, seed viability, symptoms seedlings. specifically used infected with besseyi. Cold treatment (cwt) at 5-10˚C for 24 hours followed by hot (hwt) 52˚C 10 minutes caused 51.17% yet reduced viability. Soaking 25-30˚C hwt 57˚C could cause 48.67%, 39.18% 33.05% nematode mortality, respectively. Low all treatments (less than 60%) showed infection seedlings 21 days after planting. Seed dressing imidacloprid 5WP (2% weight) 47.25% whereas benomyl 50WP (0.2% carbosulfan 25ST only 27.61% 11.34%. Based two parameters (nematode viability), effective were imidacloprid.

Observations on the Foliar Nematode, Aphelenchoides besseyi, Infecting Tuberose and Rice in India.
The foliar nematode Aphelenchoides besseyi causes white tip disease in rice (Oryza sativa L.) and floral malady in tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa L.). This nematode is widely distributed in the rice fields of many states of India, including West Bengal (WB), Andhra Pradesh (AP), Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Gujarat (GT). In order to generate information on intraspecific variations of A. besseyi as we...
متن کاملTranscriptomic Analysis of the Rice White Tip Nematode, Aphelenchoides besseyi (Nematoda: Aphelenchoididae)
BACKGROUND The rice white tip nematode Aphelenchoides besseyi, a devastating nematode whose genome has not been sequenced, is distributed widely throughout almost all the rice-growing regions of the world. The aims of the present study were to define the transcriptome of A. besseyi and to identify parasite-related, mortality-related or host resistance-overcoming genes in this nematode. METHOD...
متن کاملTrehalose metabolism genes render rice white tip nematode Aphelenchoides besseyi (Nematoda: Aphelenchoididae) resistant to an anaerobic environment.
After experiencing anaerobic environments, Aphelenchoides besseyi will enter a state of suspended animation known as anoxybiosis, during which it may use trehalose as an energy supply to survive. To explore the function of trehalose metabolism, two trehalose-6-phosphate synthase (TPS) genes (Ab-tps1 and Ab-tps2) encoding enzymes catalysing trehalose synthesis, and three trehalase (TRE) genes (A...
متن کاملEffect of Water-Soaking and Air-Drying on Survival of Aphelenchoides besseyiinOryza sativa Seeds.
Several nematicides have been used to disinfest rice seeds contaminated with the white tip nematode, Aphelenchoides besseyi. We measured the efficacy of a standard disinfestation treatment that consists of soaking seeds in an aqueous emulsion of fenitrothion or fenthion and subsequently air-drying the seeds. We also measured the efficacy of the same treatments but without addition of nematicide...
متن کاملEarly Embryogenesis and Anterior-Posterior Axis Formation in the White-Tip Nematode Aphelenchoides besseyi (Nematoda: Aphelenchoididae).
We followed the early embryogenesis of Aphelenchoides besseyi from fertilization to the 4-cell stage under Nomarski optics and examined the chromosome number and structure by DAPI staining. After an oocyte is fertilized by a sperm, the eggshell forms and the male and female pronuclei are reconstructed. The male pronucleus moves toward the female pronucleus, which is located at the center of the...
